PFP to handle Sussan Family’s final sale as owner Janet Sussan retires

Planned Furniture Promotions has been chosen, over all other promoters, to handle the final sale of iconic Houston retailer, J. Sussan Interiors.   This is the second time that the Sussan Family has chosen PFP.

Iconic store features huge assortment of home furnishings and one-of-a-kind items

HOUSTON — J Sussan Interiors, a leading retailer of eclectic, European-inspired furniture and accessories, is holding a going-out-of-business sale in honor of its owner Janet Sussan, who is retiring. The sale located at 2992 Kirby Rd. begins Aug. 28.

J Sussan Interiors specializes in high-quality, name-brand home furnishings. But the retailer is equally known for its impressive display of some of the most unique items for the home available, along with a variety of Western-chic styled merchandise.

Owner Janet Sussan has always had a keen eye for design. She founded J Sussan Interiors after her family’s longtime store in Dickinson, Texas — Sussan Furniture—closed. She followed in the footsteps of her father and grandfather, who began working in the furniture business in 1938, in Galveston. The Sussans are an iconic name in home furnishings in the state, known for their expertise in interior design as well as for taking care of customers and offering incredible values.

Learning from three generations of furniture merchants, Sussan nurtured a passion for finding one-of-a-kind furnishings along the way. “You can spend an hour in our store browsing and still not see all of the wonderful treasures we have to discover,” said Janet Sussan. “Whether you are in the market for a sofa, accent tables, bedding ensembles, lighting or tabletop accessories, you can count on J Sussan Interiors to fulfill your home furnishings needs. We take the time and work with customers, to help them with their complete home decor projects.”

“Even though I love what I do, I have made the difficult decision to retire and close J Sussan Interiors,” said Janet Sussan. “I want to thank all my loyal customers for many wonderful years.”

J Sussan Interiors features furniture and bedding from well-known brands such as Bernhardt, Paul Robert, Hekman, John Richard, Hooker Furniture, Lexington, Theodore Alexander, Old Hickory Tannery, Howard Miller, Massoud and Kingsdown.
